Swedish Royal Couple Visit Jim Corbett National Park
King Carl XVI Gustaf Folke Hubertus and Queen Silvia Renate Sommerlath, recently visited the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand. They are on a five day official visit to India. Upon landing in Uttarakhand, they were received by the Protocol Minister, Dhan Singh Rawat, at the Jolly Grant Airport.
In the video, the King and Queen of Sweden can be seen arriving at the Jim Corbett National Park, and setting off for a wildlife safari in a jeep, accompanied by an entourage.
The Swedish Royal Couple also visited the famous Ram Jhula Bridge in Rishikesh and Har ki Pauri, the most famous bathing ghat in Haridwar. Ram Jhula Bridge is one of the most famous landmarks in the city of Rishikesh.
An iron suspension bridge built over the River Ganga, it measures 450 feet and connects Sivananda Ashram to Swargashram. People visit in large numbers to enjoy the lovely views it offers.
Har Ki Pauri revered by all Hindus, as it’s where the River Ganga exits the mountains. The famous Ganga Aarti is also held here, as are the two biggest fairs of India, Ardh and Kumbh Mela. Besides visiting these famous tourist attractions in Haridwar, the Royal Couple also inaugurated a 14 million litres per day (MLD) Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).
